PS3 Lag Patch not effective

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 10:48 am

After downloading the patch on the PS3 today and then playing the game for about 2 hours - the game still lags making the game unplayable. NOTHING had changed from yesterday before the patch to today with the patch? I still have to close down the PS3, reload and then start playing again. To be honest, I suppose I could say that the patch gives me an extra hour of play before having to re boot the system.

Wierd most people report the patch fixing most of the problems related to performance. Maybe try redownloading the patch or installing the game again (by deleting the game date NOT your saves). Hope it helps

Cant believe this is happening, the game is still broken for me aswell. At least now people know that Bethesda dont care about the PS3, so hopefully this will show in the sales of the next game Bethesda releases on the PS3. I for one will not buy another Bethesda game on the PS3.

Try sleeping in game for a week (find a bed, scroll to 24-hours 7 times).

This should allow the patch to do its thing and refresh the areas that hadn't been refreshing before. This should fix the problem.

Some things may take longer to refresh, but I won't know for sure until the US gets the patch. No longer than a month in-game though. You should still notice a marked difference with the 7-days.

I have tried this and it makes no difference. The game is lagging and stuttering the whole time. The patch does not work, it makes no difference at all to my game play. I am beginning to think that the game is unplayable and will always be unplayable. I have waited years for this game and it has been the most wanted game since Oblivion. Really see no point in continuing to play it. Unless this issue is fixed pretty quickly I can see Bethesda losing their fan base for these games.

You know, I really don't expect the patch to fix anything. I have to give credit to Bethesda for trying to fix it, but it just won't work. So, farewell Skyrim. I sold you to Gamestop, I had a fun 70 hours with you until you became a useless game. I will not be buying fall out 4, or should I say, Skyrim reskinned 4.
