It is extremely difficult to beat a dragon on my archer.

I find other things easy to defeat with my character. Frost trolls, not a big deal. Dungeons cleared without usually using many potions. However, with a dragon it seems like my arrows are pebbles against it. It just takes off minuscule damage. I'm up to date with my Perks on archery, I have an elven bow, im level 13, using good arrows. I use all my potions while fighting yet I still lose. My only resort is to go at it with two daggers but my One-Handed skill is lower in comparison and my health is low as well.

So, any tips? Thanks.

Even with a sword they are a [censored] to kill, not to mention you'll be close and vulnerable to their breath. With an archer you just kind of have to be patient. Also aim for the head, it will help do more damage, but over all dragons are a lengthy fight.

I have a level 54 archer and let me tell you, if you max out alchemy/smithing/enchanting, your bow will kill EVERYTHING in 1-2 hits on expert difficulty except only the hardest dragons, which still only take 4-5 hits.

My current bow does 561 damage+31 fire&lightning damage + the arrows. With a marksman potion it's over 1200 damage. Just work on alchemy and enchanting and you will have some amazing gear.

What he said; Alchemy is your best friend. You can also make potions to resist elements.

well thats the price of being an archer, because for my nord warrior dragons are a cakewalk but frost trolls and everything else wreck my [censored]. thats kind of strange, dont you think? my warrior can stand in the flames until the dragon decides to land then utterly destroy it, while you, an archer, who would seemingly have the advantage over a flying creature, are having a hard time.

ive heard of issues where people can clearly see their arrows go right through enemies without damaging them; maybe less of your arrows are doing damage then they should be. if your fast, and you should be, try my low-level strategy of hiding behind rocks when it breathes fire (make sure not to move or you might step into a little flame left over from the fire breath) and attack its side once it lands. and as always, hit it with fire/frost shouts whenever you can to chip off as much health as you can, or if you have them, slow time or elemental fury when it lands.
