ex/ Add bash-type hitstun to power attacks, or make a dual-wielding dual-slash break guards, or add stamina costs.
Asking since I feel it's sorely necessary for making dual-wielding viable; with a new char I can plow through bleak falls if I'm allowed to bash (one-handed+shield or two-handed), but end up clumsily exchanging blows and being quickly overpowered by high hp opponents when I go the dual-wielding route.
Doing something like adding a way to interrupt enemy attacks (say, adding bash-type stun and stamina cost to the dual-slash) would make it much more fun.
Doing something like making offhand attacks function like bashes and power-bashes instead of being the same as right hand attacks makes plenty of sense, both from a realism/historical perspective and a gameplay perspective. As of now the left-hand-only attack serves no purpose other than visual flair, and dual wielding, to me, would be much more interesting if it's a dagger offhand for defensive and counter blows (speed is more important than damage for bashing so it all fits together...), or a bearded axe offhand to hook a shield out of the way, instead of just double the flailing for maybe-hopefully 1.25x the damage.
Bonus points for adding some depth to bare-knuckle brawling aside from occasional backpedaling.
Also, making all power attacks interrupt other power attacks, bash-like, would cut down on some of the sillier moments of combat (like your enemy following through on that giant warhammer swing while being butchered by a flurry of full-force power-slashes, or getting hit by a giant overhead of your own).
But I have a feeling the CK isn't just going to hand me a menu to twiddle with this kind of thing.
