Saved game being deleted

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 7:15 am

Has anyone else been experiencing the problem of saved games being deleted when a new character is made?
Basically what has happened (and continuing) is when I make a new character, the saves from that character is overiding all previous saved game files made.
It even includes saving over all manual saved files as well. I lost a lv 20 character. Only way around this is making a new ps3 account to have multiple characters saved. Please tell me this is a glitch, and that I'm allowed to have more then one character saved per account. Thanks!

I've litterally just encountered this problem myself, I thought I'd make a new character so I could actually complete the main quest and theives guild quests (both werre broken on my game) and of course it saved over my previous game and I lost a character with over 60 hours put into it. I get the feeling it might be something to do with the autosave, but it's just a hunch.

Turn all the autosave settings OFF and save manually.

Turn all the autosave settings OFF and save manually.

That doesn't work as the initial autosave after stepping of the cart is mandatory... Might be possible to start from this point every time starting a new game though and potentially skip the overwrite part?

Yea, I've tried everything. Turning auto save off doesn't work because of the initial autosave in the beginning as stated already. I'm suprised this isn't a bigger issue then it already is. I think its worse then the graphic bugs, and hope by it being on here that it is adressed Bethesda. The only other possible problem I can think of is maybe the disc itself is defective? I feel like that is impossible, but with this problem rarely being reported I feel like its only happening to a select group of people...
