stuck at first dungeon with golden claw : V

so I'm at the door where you use the golden claw to open the door. I need to turn the 3 rings so they match what is on the claw. but they won't turn when I hit a. I can put the claw in the hole when I hit a, but I can't get the rings to spin. is this a glitch? or did I forget to activate some thing?

You should give the golden claw a closer look in the items menu. Maybe turn it around...

He noticed it, but he cant turn the rings for some reason

Try reloading a save, or going to a door that leads to a load, then coming back.

Hi, I've got the Golden Claw and wanted to return it to the Trader in Riverwood who sent me on the quest -yet, there is no dialogue to give it to him when I go back to his town...

NM: Realised you have to finish all objectives first

After you cut him down, he runs and gets killed by the undead. Check for a body on the floor before the pressure plate trap.
