I'm really confused right now.

I downloaded Skyrim yesterday via Steam and tried to launch it. So the Launcher opens up, I press play and nothing happend. Now I tried to defrag game cache and to validate it, but it didn't help at all, Steam always says everything would be all right. So I deleted the game and re-installed it via Steam, but same thing...

After searching the web I found several hints on startup problems which all didn't help until I finally realized that there is not TESV.exe in my game folder - Steam seems not to download it. I tried to re-install the game for about 5 times now, changing servers and stuff, but always the TESV.exe is missing...

Is there any chance to get Steam to download the whole game?

Make a ticket with Valve, it's clearly a Steam problem.

Yes there is and there should be.

There should be but in my case there isn't a tesv.exe... In the meantime I tried to install the game from DVD but I've got the same problem, because even then the tesv.exe seems to get downloaded via steam at the end of installation... That's really annoying
