i think a mod add new creatures like boars is what Skyrim needs.Remember those boars in Solsteim would be nice to see packs of wildboars in the north woods of Skyrim near the frozen places !!!!!!

For those arachnophobes out there I think it would be kinda neat to have boars replace giant spiders. I am not one of them, but I get tired of seeing gigantic insects in games.

Boars would be good... for a start.

After all, you've got huge expanses of almost untouched wilderness, but where's all the wildlife? We've got plenty of large carnivores, with multiple types of wolf, bear and cat, but not much else. Elk, rabbits, a couple kinds of fox, and hawks. That ecosystem needs diversity, badly. How about smaller deer, like white tail? Squirrels, raccoons? Owls and ravens. Turtles! Where are the turtles? Oh, and seagulls around the coasts (really, hawks circling Solitude's docks? Come on...)

Likewise, the only fish we have are salmon, a multitude of what look like guppies (not even food fish, they're all alchemy ingredients  ), and slaughterfish (which is just mean since we can't fight underwater anymore).

I know this is just getting greedy, and making all that, then placing it in the world (and maybe including cooking recipes) would be waaaay more work that anyone sane would want to do. But boars would definitely be a good start.

You know what's cooler than boars? Boar herds under the leadership of were-boars!

Not that I'm actually asking you to do that. It's your call.

You would almost forget that there were boars in Oblivion too. For some reason they only appear in a very specific small player level range and then they'd disappear... Thanks, level scaling.

Also, Wereboars! :mohawk:

The boars were the best. Nothing rolls down a hill faster than a dead boar.

At least the spiders in Skyrim don't paralyze you and spam pummel you to death like in Daggerfall. I can't tell you how many times I got freakin' pwned by spiders in Daggerfall because of their ability to paralyze you. :brokencomputer:

Anyway, come to think about it, it is kind of strange that there are no boars in Skyrim. I'm not an ecology expert, but I thought they have boars in Scandinavia, which is the real-life inspiration for the region of Skyrim. Of course, I don't think there are any trolls or giant man-eating spiders in Scandinavia, and I think the world would be a bit different if dragons, vampires and
Spoiler
werewolves
were actually real. :chaos:

Sometimes the only ne you'd see would be Porkchop in the arena.

We also had bristlebacks in Bloodmoon, but they were basically the same animal.
