Is there a way to finish the quest Darkness Returns if the Pilgrim's Path is bugged? I know how to exploit the "gap" between the door and the wall to get onto the path (since the door will not open) but I can't finish the quest. It gets stuck on "Listen to Nocturnal" even though she has finished talking and disappeared into the Ebonmere. The quest arrow follows her down and I'm trapped in this room unable to do anything. I tried it four times, same result. Is there a way to finish it, or do I cross my fingers for a better result on another play-through or a quick patch? Of the 5-7 bugged quests I've encountered this one irks me the most, and not just because I'm playing as a sneak. If you're going to link an achievement to a quest, make sure the bloody thing works.

Update: After five more tries it finally worked, sort of. The quest goal shifted from "Listen to Nocturnal" to "Speak with Karliah", but just as I located her (Those Nightingale outfits do blend into a black background) she opened a door and disappeared. The arrow pointed to a door far below the floor and I was stuck again. One more try (lucky autosave AFTER the goal shifted) and I caught her before she got away. The quest FINALLY cleared and the achievement dinged. So to answer my original post, YES, you can finish the quest with a bugged Pilgrim's Path, but it takes some luck.
