Posted this in the glitched quests thread, but it's not showing up in any of my quest logs. So that may have been the wrong thread put it in. My apologies. The issue I'm have is as follows:

I'd post the name of the quest that's glitched on me, but it's not there. In the companions I finished the Proving Honor quest. After finishing it, I'm told to talk to Skjor. Since I'm such a rebel, I talk to Vilkas instead. He gives me a quest and I go and do my own thing. A few days later I decide to do that Vilkas quest, but it's not there. I go to talk to him, but he doesn't give me any details as to what to do and just tells me that he's already sent me on a job after I ask for work in a vain attempt progress the companions quest line.

Any help would be appreciated.
