But besides that, I have a question about my elf he has a ancient power that does a AOE like 8 fire damage to all enemies within a range around me for 60 seconds. I can't seem to get this to work? Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you tried selecting it from the "Powers" section of the Magic menu? Also, there's a special button you have to press to use a power (at least on PC, I don't know about Xbox). Maybe check the manual?

It's used the same way as a shout (not a spell) so select it then use the same button you use for shouts to trigger it.

Same button as using a shout, once per day more than likely. Map it and use it shouldn't be any problems(PC user not sure what button shout's are on 360)

Are you trying to use it as a spell? It's a power, and those have a different button (right bumper). If that's not it, I don't know, I've never used a Dark Elf.
