Right after starting the game, after the cart stops everyone disappears.

User Interface [UI] Corruption.

I have the latest ATI drivers and have messed with several of the listed items such as sound that others have posted on and nothing has helped. Changing my display settings does nothing to help with this issue. These graphics artifacts and glitches coupled with the constant random crashing is really hampering my ability to experience the game the proper way. I hope this helps the devs in some way. I will post my dxdiag and system info if asked by a moderator.
