Game tends to minimize itselflose focus on system tray alert

This is a minor problem to be sure, since it doesn't really affect the performance of the game or my ability to play it. Just an annoyance.

What happens is that sometimes, seemingly randomly, Skyrim will lose focus and minimize itself. Now, this is easy enough to fix by alt-tabbing twice, and thankfully the game suspends itself in the meantime (music will play and the currently running line of voice might finish, but otherwise the game events do not continue) so it won't affect me even in the middle of a fight.

I think I know what the problem might be, specifically a certain program running in my system tray occasionally spews out an alert box. However, I really do not want to turn it off, so I would like to know if there is some fix that prevents Skyrim from ever losing focus in the first place.

...also, am I the only one that notices the one-pixel wide borders on the edges of the screen during the loading screens? Skyrim isn't the only game to do that, but I find it odd how often I see it nowadays in games that are supposedly running fullscreen.

The only solution is to find the program which is giving the "alert" and silence it... sorry.

Yes, I have this as well and hoping there will be a fix for it. I play in fullscreen but the game seems to think I'm playing in window mode or something because when I turn my view around, especially to the left I can spot my windows cursor in my top left corner. If I were to click on my mouse right at that point my game minimizes. I stated this in another thread but I guess it got digged.

Also my screen sometimes just freeze when I'm about to attack so I let go and move around a bit, it stops and when I alt-tab I've noticed that the black window has been moved, it's like my in-game cursor is active in windows as well. It's so borked. <_>

I have that one-pixel border around my loading screens too.

But all of this only happens in Skyrim.

Just give us the option to play window mode without borders, that's always the best way to go! <3
