I’m stuck between “Loud and Clear” and “Dampened Spirits”. Now, I know this has already been posted in one of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1283763-organised-list-of-broken-quests/, but I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas what is causing this problem so I can work around it

I’ve got my save just before I turn in Loud and Clear, and I can’t figure out how to pick up the next quest. Brynjolf tells me that Maven wants to see me, but I don’t even get the “Dampened Spirits” quest, and Maven doesn’t give it to me either if I find her in town. It did take me a long time between picking up Loud and Clear and finishing it, and I don’t have a save before that – at least not one I’d care to go back to at this point.

Is it the length of time I had the quest? Is it that I'm on the "Promises to Keep" quest to steal from Maven? Any other ideas or workarounds?

Edit:
Did some more searching and found that this is likely because I have broken into the meadery, likely part of a quest to steal some mead given to me by a meadery employee I guess there's no workaround for that other than reverting the save.
