OK, so this is starting to become an unwelcome trend in my game. Yesterday I was advancing the main story line and when I picked up the Elder Scroll and started Alduin's Bane. I went to read the scroll at the throat of the world and alas even though when I picked it up and it said it was in my inventory, when I went to get it out of the Book section of the inventory, it wasn't there, effectively bringing my main quest to a halt. So, today after venting on this forum last night and trying every angle I could think of I decided to go 10 or so saves back and start some other missions in hope that a patch would come out to fix some quests before I started to tackle the main quests again. This brings me to the forbidden legend quest. After going through the paces I got to the part where you get the ivory claw off of the body of Daynas Valden to lower the bridge. After slaying some fools I get to the body and search it. Everything is there EXCEPT the ivory claw! I mean, come on Bethesda, WTF! Are you really trying to ruin this experience for me? That's 2 quests in a ROW where simple things did not appear where they should have. I have verified the placement of the claw through friends and youtube. If I do not do this quest, no big deal I guess, except for the fact I'll be missing out on all the swag associated with it!

Fallout 3 and Oblivion never gave me this much trouble (never played Fallout new vegas because of all the bugs I heard off) and I have been loving this game every hour I have played it (60+), it just keeps getting better, but this is really starting to get old and is making me loose faith in your products. I would rather wait as long as needed to have a polished game (even one that's 75%) then to get it on some cool date like 11.11.11 in time for the holiday season. Every time a broken quest happens it takes me out of the world of Skyrim and makes me wonder what quest is going to fail next, preventing me from enjoying this game. This is my kind of game so I REALLY want to see this work.

Y'all need to take a page out of Bioware's book and not get caught up with the holiday release schedule and take the time to hone your product. I will be buying Mass Effect 3 on day one and will get the same flawless RPG experience I had in the last 2. I wish I could say the same for your next game, but for now it looks like I will wait 3 or 4 months for you to release all your patches. I know that the scope of this game is huge and it might be nearly impossible to work out all the bugs, but to have such a glaring broken issue on the main quest is unacceptable. The Forbidden Legend thing is just icing on the cake I guess. I'm not going to even get into the escape the prison quest in Markarth, which is also fubar.

I would rather be writing on this forum about all the good things in this game but for now I really can't get past these game breaking experiences. I hope your working on a timely solution so that the Skyrim community is not wasting theirs. Thanks.
