Hello there,

First time Bethesda Customer, and first time poster here. I would just like to know if there is any hope for a solution to these performance issues in Skyrim for the PS3. I love this game, but I feel it is unacceptable to be dealing with the issues this game seems to have. None of my other games experience any of these issues. The only time I may have a hiccup with another game is while I am playing online.

I can't say I am impressed with Bethesda. As a new Customer, I can honestly say that I will be hesitant to purchase another Bethesda game in the future. With all the marketing they did with this game, I fear they have done themselves great harm by releasing such a rough product to the masses.

I will never own an Xbox, I just feel they are inferior to the PS3, so I want assurance that these issues will be resolved (I am reading alot about Bethesda not working well in general on the PS3). I absolutely love this game, but it's technical issues greatly sour my experience. It's a gamble everytime I leave a building or fast travel; never knowing if my game is going to freeze or not. It's leaving quite the nasty taste in my mouth knowing I spent $60.00 on this product, and it may never function properly.

I'm in the same boat. First time I've ever bought a Bethesda game, it might be my last.

Lockduck majority here facing performance issues with Skyrim on PS3,lag,bugs and freezing are the most common ones,evethough it's an awesome game it ends up being unplayable

Ive been buying bethesda games since the early 90s and the more games they are releasing on the ps3(buged) my console of choice the more that 20+ years of loyailty is fast going down the drain.

This remember me why i own the TES 1-2-3-4 on pc. Community fix bug faster.

I just posted in another thread saying basically the same thing. I've never bought a Bethesda game before Skyrim, and now I feel like I wasted $60. I will likely never purchase another game by this company.

What bothers me most is the possibilty of the game not being fixed. Through several threads here and various locations around the internet, I'm not exactly confident this will be taken care of. I can handle the lag and poor framerate, I can tolerate (to a degree) the crashes and freezes, but what scares me is that there has been very little communication from Bethesda's end regarding any of this. Only an underwhelming, seemingly rushed patch. Why did they even release the game? I can go on and on.

If anyone at the Bethesda level reads these, please think about all of the new people you brought in with this game and the impression you are leaving with them right now.

I've had 4 bethseda games on ps3 ( fallout 3, new vegas, Elder scrolls oblivion and skyrim) and i've suffered issues with all of them, i can appreciate that with such large games somethings will go wrong, but major things like lag? or freezing way too damn often. i payed ￡42 for skyrim cos i want to play it when i want to and forever long i want to, not to be told that the game feels like freezing for the 5th time in an hour or lagging so badly i cant play it.

sort it out please bethseda

They have your money, and that's that. In classic fashion they'll spend a few weeks with make-believe to svck out the last few dollars from the people who haven't bought the game yet, but from there it's all fan-patches for the PC.

I appreciate your input, but as a new Customer I felt obligated to tell them how I feel. If they "don't care" fine, but I'm not going to just lay back and accept this. I don't expect them to print out this thread and tack it onto each of their cubicle walls, but I can't just resign myself to saying "they have my money, it's out of my hands".

Bethesda has a long history of this. Naughty Dog and many others make great games for the PS3, but Bethesda is incompetent when it comes to the platform. I honestly don't expect anything better in the future from them. Hell, even the PC and 360 versions have their share of problems from what I've been reading. I wouldn't be to optimistic when it comes to them making this game enjoyable on the PS3. Let's just face it, they bent us over and [censored] us.
