Bethesda - PULL DOWN THE NEW PATCH

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 8:27 am

I'm one of the lucky ones that came here first and saw how 1.2 is screwing everyone's game up. So I denied the new patch, but others won't be so lucky. Instead of them having a broken game for at least 2 more weeks, please pull the patch down until a new one can be released.

Thank you.

The patch was released on Monday for the PS3, and it was obvious then that the patch had many problems with it. They had 2 days to delay the patch for Xbox, but went ahead and released a broken patch.

Bethesda created the best rpg ever (again) and you flaming cause of peanuts.
I never had big problems with quests in the game, i completed every quest and now im collecting every stuff that can be collceted, its just the style how you are playing the game. Use your brain and you dont have to complain

My character is basically stuck until a new patch to fix my freeze when talking to any NPC issue, I may complain about it but I'm not going to say I hate Bethesda or want to punch Todd Howard in the face. Come on, grow up.

You apparently haven't downloaded the patch yet...

It's broken, accept it. Bethesda needs to pull this patch and seriously re-tool it.

Was going to take my PS3 version back, get whatever nickle and dime the store would give me, and pick Skyrim up for the Xbox today. But after coming here and seeing all this, WOW!

A very tired and defunct argument now after two failed updates.

Really? They are gonna patch every bug? Care to share your source?

As for you personally not having problems, well good for you buddy, but you are not the only person who bought Skyrim ya know...

Bottom line is, the patch that was gonna repair so many bugs has created more. This was known for days via the PS3 forums, yet the Xbox patch was made live with the very same issues. These are things Bethesda could have done SOMETHING about.

With Microsoft, I wouldn't be surprised if a they'd have to deal with a ton of red tape just to keep the thing from going live even if they tried.

Wish I had checked in and seen 1.2 had problems.... would have played offline until 1.3 was released. Can no longer absorb dragon souls (though I thought that was on the list of things 1.2 was to fix). Before 1.2 the only issues I had were... "the butcher" quest, two-handed weapons not fitting into weapon racks or plaques, and the random dragon that would pass me by.

Exactly! The strangest part of this game breaking story! It seems that Microsoft and Bethesda are robots. I just can't imagine that. The PATCH IS BROKEN! STOP the certification! Do not set it up! Do not upload to the servers! SKIP IT! DELETE IT! INCINERATE HIM! Or maybe uploading the patch is something like a starting bomb mechanism? Two days... TWO DAYS! Unbelievable.

You know it's gonna take another 2 weeks before we see another patch.
I doubt now it will happen this side of Christmas.

And still no official word huh? I wonder why some folks are less than impressed with Bethesda...

A very tired and defunct argument now after two failed updates.

No he is right, all this will get fixed, it's just going to take a bit of work and maybe the problems are more difficult to iron out than everybody thought.

The game is superb, these guys got so much right im willing to bare with them and give them time to sort out whatever got overlooked. The fact they put a patch out at all shows willingness to improve their product, I have every faith they will come good.

I'm stuck on thieves guild due to a glitch, and that doesnt stop my enjoyment, I'm not impatient with them over their mistakes. Glass half full, the argument of being paying customers doesn't even hold weight for me, since I paid the same for this as I did for batman, which took 6 hours to finish. Skyrim has had 85 hours of my time and I haven't made it a third through the MQ.

It's all about perspective.

On a PS3 thread about resistance magic, they have stated they are "Looking into it" ... So they are aware of the issue, just a matter of what is causing it... Personally, the 1.2 patch is fine for me, especially with the HDD texture glitch, works for me now. I dont have any resistance armor or spells, so Im not being affected by that alleged bug, thankfully. Dragons seem to be the exact same as they always were.

This is the second Game breaking patch for a bethesda game that got past both the developer and Both Sony and M$ certifiers. The first was the final New Vegas patch. Now this. Of the dozen or so people involved at each level, why is it that no one caught these Glaring glitches caused by these "Patches"?
