I downloaded patch 1.2 today and of course I now have backwards flying dragons and zero resistances. Can't even attack dragons anymore, so it's a tad unplayable. I cleared my cache in the hope that 1.2 had been removed and that 1.1 had been made live again. Unfortunately this is not the case. So I decided to try and play unpatched offline. But of course my saves are for another version of Skyrim (1.1 not 1.0) so I cannot play any of my save games (I knew deep down this was the case but I was hopeful anyway). I have to now either play with the 1.2 patch and suffer major broken game mechanics or start a new game unpatched, which of course I'm not too keen on doing after 90 odd hours of gameplay. I'm kind of out of options here. I have had no major problems previously so it's a bit frustrating to suddenly not be able to play your game anymore. I would kindly appreciate it if 1.1 was made live again.

Absolutely the same situation, except of starting a new game now. I want to play the game, but I can't. 1.0v doesn't load my 1.1 and 1.2 saves Don't know what to do. Maybe to play a different game. Seems that fixing takes a long time knowing Bethesda and MS certification process.

Same here guys i feel ur pain...but there is no way ill be persuing backward flaying dragons and taknig 100% frost damage when my enchanted rope says i should be taking only 25% ...so i cleared cache deleted everything and im starting again from scratch after all now i realized i should have stayed virgin of al patches ....i may even stop playing until this is all fixed..

I have the same problem, and I also don't want to create a new character because I have already played for 60 hours with my old character. Until today I was really addicted to this game even with the texture glitch and other bugs but now the gameplay is so messed up I will just play Gears 3 until a patch comes along that actually fixes bugs.

It is really gutting. You're right guys, definitely time to play something else while Bethesda rectify this. I have been attempting to play with the broken game mechanics (ignoring dragons as much as possible) but my flame atronach just died from an AOE flame spell while I was setting fire to a troll and then a conjurer killed me within seconds with a flame spell even though my character has >70% resistance to fire. I don't think I really want to suffer through that again, so it's no more Skyrim for me at the moment.

Well... i've been meaning to start a new character to try something different than what i've always played in all the elder scrolls games so I guess I could uninstall the patch and play unpatched till they patch the recent patch lol... im like the rest of you though.. the character I have been playing with is my absolute favorite and im flippin mad I cant continue playing him unless I run from every elemental beastie in the game everytime I see one lol

As the first post said, playing with your old character on patch 1.1 is impossible, because you can't downgrade to patch 1.1. You can clear your cache and play on 1.0 but then you can't load your game from 1.1.
