[REQ] Bring back Oblivion's dodge roll and disarm perk for p

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 7:57 am

I find it strange that Bethesda did not include a perk for rolling in any direction, at least in Oblivion you could roll in four different directions. Would it be possible to mod in such a feature? I would imagine it would considering you could probably reuse the animations from Oblivion. I would leave out the backflip though as that just looked stupid. If you make a dodge roll use up a relatively large amount of stanima, it could make combat more interesting as well as giving dual wielder's some kind of defence. Also, I think someone should mod in a perk for a sidewards power attack having a chance of disarming an opponent. Maybe for one-handed? I will probably attempt to do this myself this summer (its my final year in college and I am resisting the urge to play this game until then). By the way, I have never modded a game before but was given a crash course in C programming as part of my physics course, will this experience be of any use once I start learning to mod?

I would like a 5-way dodge system. (duck, forwards, backwards, left, right)
svcks no having anything like this, it also svcks we don't have an acrobatics skill anymore as it would have been perfect for the perk system.

isn't there a stealth roll I'm game? could it be adapted. In all my career as a fighter I never felt the need to roll though. I'd much rather have a dodge like in Skycaptain's Deadly Reflex.

Your right but a dodge roll would be particularly useful against larger, lumbering enemies such as giants.
