I am new to this forum but have been following the topics within obsessively since Skyrim's release.
I have been playing Skyrim non-stop since it's release and amid the cries of "BROKEN!" and "PLEASE F%$&!@$ PATCH THIS!!!" I have been playing Skyrim virtually bug and problem free. I am a PS3 user and have a 9 MB large save file and have only experienced autosaving lag(which I'm hesitant to even call "lag"). I want to know why I am in the minority here. I've seen a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum, and wondered if any of you might have answers.
I have been waiting for the sky to fall for me since the game was released and saw all the posts to forums and public outcries of frustration and Skyrim, for me, has performed nearly identically to the day it came out. I have no complaints at all. I remember reading that once a save file was larger than 5 MB you're in trouble, and then 6 MB, and then 7, 8, 9... All of which have been passed for me with no falter AT ALL. And to be frank, I am curious as hell. So, lay it on me guys; what's the deal here?
I have a pretty well-kept PS3, i.e. 70-80% free hard-drive, well-ventilated, save-files, game data routinely expunged, etc. Imagine how a person with OCD would keep their PS3 and that's it.
EDIT: After reading other posts, I've realized that this is very little as far as meaningful information, but I've accrued ~110 hours of gameplay as well as a lot of time spend gaining gold by creating potions or enchanting weapons and then selling to vendors, then waiting 48 hours, and repeating as many as 20 times. I don't know if this helps clear memory or what, but I do a lot of waiting in the game.
