And Now the Dissapointment Starts....

So, I anticipated the arrival of patch 1.2 and do the following -

Delete all save games bar my current one.
Remove Cache
Delete my Skyrim Install.

Then pop the disc in and get the patch. A quick load of my save in Windheim *snow city?* shows things are still looking off. Bad low-res textures, my hands and weapons seem a little better, but things are still popping in and out when going to menu. More pop in is noticeable and some flickering seems to have now come into play.

You know what annoys me the most? I'm tired. I want to play the game, but these 'hiccups' are killing it. Quashing my Skyrim buzz - I was so stoked for this game, pumped 120+ hours in Oblivion across the 360, ps3 and pc. Then this mess.

What I would like is an official explanation from Bethesda why the 360 version for thos afflicted does not run like all the demos we saw. We are lumbered with low-res textures, lack of lighting and shadows in places. Look at the Stormcloaks place in Windheim - it's like jumping into a texture timemachine circa 1998.

I know visuals are not the be and end all of games, but for immersion and my sanity, please, please fix this game. And a paltry 3 meg update imposed by M$? Gag, give me a hi-res texture pack, I'll pay horse armour for it.

I really don't think there going to be getting any better. Like the 360 cant handle the high resolution or something like that. The same thing with the PS3, PCs are the only thing that can play the game with the highest quality possible. But I may be wrong.
