Lament of an older gamer

Dear Bethesda,
I want to start by saying thank you for work on keeping the spirit of RPG's alive in a modern context and bringing us deeply thoughtful and vibrant worlds to gamers and enthusiasts of all ages and all across the world who are always looking for something other than shooters to spend our leisure time in. It is no small undertaking I am sure to put together an entire world that breathes and dissolves the barrier between our sensory experiences of real life and the ones we embark upon in well made games. Morrowind was for me the closest to an alternate, immersive reality that I had ever experienced, and while I didn't quite get the same degree of of depth from Oblivion, the hallmarks were there. When hints of Skyrim came out and then trailers, rumors, secret screenshots, confirmations....when the buzz reached the ears of older gamers like myself who saw a return to the depth of Morrowind, I was excited...and still am for the game that could be, at the end of the day, one of the best rpg games of all time, if not the best video game of all time. But we are not there yet...

Most gamers know and expect bugs in games...and more so now in a field that has become so economically vibrant and subsequently more competitive. We understand that there is quarterly profits to contend with, marketing budgets, and a rush to move on. We have seen more and more games being released with great potential, but with the sense of being unfinished...We also know that in a world as vast as the one you have created, it would literally be impossible to get everything right without putting out the release for a year or two, meanwhile you still have to deal with tech curves, release dates etc...

But there is a point when we, the true fans of Elder Scrolls want to know that you have not forgotten in your race to be competitive, why you got into the business in the first place...Skyrim is an amazing game, but so many of the 'small glitches' have added up for me and I am sure others so that I completely lose all immersion, which in my opinion is what a game like this is all about. I should get more specific, this is not a hate rant and it will likely not be taken too seriously by any at your busy company...but if by chance someone is listening, and I am quite sure I am not alone,:

1.Yes please keep fixing game breaking bugs etc. But don't forget to make sure the patch doesn't do more harm than good...maybe easier said than done?
2.Some of the glitches are so obvious after any amount of time that it makes one feel like it was not play tested very much. The newest patch seems to address "rare" glitches, start with the common ones first...
Now that varies from gamer to gamer...but for me the 2 things that are immensely frustrating are
-not being able to actually use the fact that items are moveable in any way....if one actually wants to make use of your player home and make it your own(the point right?), you are disappointed by little things like all the items you set on tables and shelves being mysteriously spread all over the floor when you return home. How many times do you thing someone is going to want to re-arrange this before they give up, pick up everything and stare at the empty shelves pining for the good old days (Morrowind was even more successful this way) when you could really develop your home. Heck, it was easier in fallout 3...It seems like a waste of time and space if things that add real immersion elements are implemented but don't work...and the racks and the bookshelves etc, all good ideas not finished and causing a frustrated feeling when playing (for me and others who thing houses are great)
-the game is gorgeous in almost every way except for some reason the rendering of the snow in places looks like bad...not passable bad, but immersion killing bad. Its a snow land for crying out load, make the snow look less like im playing minecraft.

Now I know that other bugs may hold priority...But if I bought a luxury car and the gps system was there but malfuncioned, and the pedal stuck sometimes and (in light of a recent patch) it only drove backward, I would feel very disappointed...And one of the things that is frustrating is an apparent "deal with it kiddos, do you know how hard this is" attitude we are getting from reps are Bethesda. We do know how hard it is. We're feeling how hard it is every time we play this game. Please, a few solid gut check weeks, some extra pay for your workers or whatever it takes can make this game the best ever....or an Edsel.
