I was playing through the Companions questline and brought the 5 witches heads back to the base, where "Purity Of Revenge" was supposed to be initiated by Vilkas, taking me to Driftshade Refuge. Vilkas said we were going to go right there to destroy every Silver Hand, then he sat down. Now, all I can talk to him about is info about the Companions or for Two-Handed training. I can't finish the questline!
I heard on another forum that it was because I already went to Driftshade and cleared it out before getting to this point in the questline, which I did, but for another quest the game gave me hours before! By completing an earlier small quest, I screwed myself out of this questline (which I would have preferred to do)?
Is there any way around this? Perhaps a way to initiate it on my own? Are there any plans for an update to fix these quest glitches? I really don't want to have to start over and scrap my level 44 character that I have already put over 100 hours into, but this is a major questline that I want to complete, mainly because I want to be rid of being a werewolf. Now, I wish I had never started the questline.


By the way, this is for 360. Thought I was in the 360 section of the forum, so I didn't think I needed to put that in here.

If you're on PC use console Commands, I was having this glitch yesterday, Patch 1.2 fixed all my quest glitches

Try going to the Silver Hand base and wait for 1 hour for him. If he isn't there go inside and he should be right behind you. If he isn't... your ****ed.

In all reality you can complete the quest on your own.

Problem with that is, there is no quest to complete on my own. The "Purity Of Revenge" quest, as I stated in the first post, never started. How do I complete a quest that never started and is not on my quest log?

I agree that this line is busted I cant make it past the "hired Muscle" part cause the guy died. I would think that they would at least let you talk to the quest giver and cancel it so that you have a chance to get a new target. At level 50 I will be damn if I'm going to start from a old save file just to see if the guy is alive!

I think we may be boned. It is one of the things I hate about Bethesda games. I lucked out with Oblivion, as I bought it years after release, so everything was pretty much fixed. But, with each new game, I lose more faith in them, which svcks, cuz I really love their games.
