Okay. today i lost a level 42, 130 hour character after i started a new game. for some reason my 2 manual saves that i had for this character were overwrote by the autosaves the game makes at the VERY beginning of the game when you get off the wagon. Yes, i have autosave turned off in my settings, the only way i save my game is manually. Just some advice for others so this doesn't happen to you. When you start a new game make another profile on your PS3 so you don't lose your other character. You don't know how bad it svcks to waste 130 hours of your life.

trust me I know your pain. I so know your pain. lost a lvl 51 with over 130hrs as well.

My advice would be before staring a new character or anything back whatever file you want to keep up to a flash drive or external HDD.

Oh, and if you have PS+ you can move your files into online storage.
