[REQ] Paper Map

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 2:07 pm

Can any one make a mod that changes the vanilla map to a real paper map look, i rely don't think the vanilla one suits the game and missing the plain old paper map look.

Not only is it hard to view important details on the 3d map, but it's a real immersion kill to look down on Skyrim from a god's eye view.

There are a couple mods that make the map easier to see such as http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=272 and http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=145. ;) They aren't paper, but they do get rid of the clouds.

This game has the worst in game map ever. At the very least could someone please put the roads on the 3d map. They wasted alot of money on that thing. A simple in game paper map is all we really needed

That is pretty. I would not mind having that in my game at all.

The map doesn't bother me so much because it's not my character pulling out a miniature 3D copy of the world and selecting where to have an uneventful trip to. It's me pulling loading up a menu of places in the world and skipping to the part where I visit them. So I think it looks neat. But I do appreciate having the cloudless map mods pointed out. I'm gonna download that now. My own main complaint about the current map is that I can never see the correct path to that dungeon halfway up the opposite side of the mountain in front of me.

I wonder if I can see White Gold Tower and Red Mountain now....

Anyway I'm sure a paper map mod will get made. This isn't the first thread about it by any means.

I think if someone could make one that looks like an old rolled parchent or whatever they used for maps in the old days

This is one mod I would instantly install if its accurate and clearly shows the major roads.

I cant believe Bethesda blew it so bad with their 3d map. I also dont like the 3d inventory system. No paper doll?

+1 for nice easy-to-read 2D in-game map.

Love that (thanks for that link btw, very much).

I also very much want a mod for this. The 3D map is full of fail.
