Alternatively, or more preferably, depending on what type of utility you need, you could and probably should take a look at http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1840. Much more useful than NMM could ever be.

I second this aswell. If you don't have any previous experience with Wrye Bash/Mash from Morrowind or Oblivion it might look more complex than NMM, but I assure you the few minutes it takes to get used to it is WELL worth it, since you'll be able to control your install much better when installing via BAIN. If you plan on modding a lot, it's the only way to go.

agreed, with standard mod managers you will eventually start getting conflicts that bug the game or even crash it. Taking the time to learn Wrye Bash and how to use BAIN installations makes for a much more stable modded game, especially with how it can be integrated with BOSS and how it will (not sure if it can yet) patch mods to not conflict.
