Just wanted to let it be known that if Lydia the Housecarl from Whiterun dies before you get married there is a major bug that will stop any marriage ceremony from taking place. Lydia's corpse will be teleported to the chapel and the ceremony will instantly end like you bailed on the marriage. The only way to get around it is to resurrect Lydia before the wedding.
