Okay, first, thanks for actually clicking on my thread!

This is what happened: I did the quest where I helped Madanoch escape. I went to the shrine, killed the guards after they started attacking me. Now, no guards in the city attack me or anything.

So, I am doing the part of the thieves guild where I have to go to that college or whatever its called in Markarth, and I have to kill the spider (Nimhe I think its called) so that the wizard (calcimo?) lets me see the excavation site. I think I'm actually supposed to steal his book. So The wizard gives me the key to go into the forbidden area to kill the spider.

Ok, first off, before I go in, the guard guarding the door is like "bla bla you can't go in there without the wizards permission" which really annoys me me because I DO HAVE his permission. So I go in anyways. The guard doesn't stop me.

Now, here is where I am completely frustrated beyond belief. There are guards in these next rooms. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to sneak by them, but I shouldn't have to because I have permission to be there! Anyways, they approach me and say I have murdered and conspired. I haven't tried going to jail yet. I'm going to hide my belongings in a barrel somewhere and try going to jail and serve my time, but I'm pretty sure my plan's not going to work.

Anyone have any ideas? Why the hell are the guards in the city not arresting me, but the guards in the college are! I just want to keep going in the thieves guild!
