Random Crashes To Desktop - FIX

Ok guys so the RCTD's have been affecting many of you and myself for quite some time but I may have found a solution.

1. Set your audio device default format to 24bit 44100 HZ (Control Panel - Sound - Playback Devices - (Select default device) - Properties - Advanced)

2. Download the 4GB Patcher http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php and when you activate the .exe make sure it patches TESV.exe

3. Start Skyrim and when you can ALT-TAB out of the game and press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to bring up the task manager. Click process and then right click on Skyrim (It should be at the top) and change its priority to HIGH.

4. Close Skyrim and find your Skyrim game location in your C: Drive. It should be: Program Files (x86) - Steam - Steam Apps - Common - Skyrim. Click on the Skyrim folder in here and you should see a file called SkyrimPrefs.ini

5. Open this file in Notepad and find the line that says: fAutosaveEveryXMins=15.0000 We are going to change that so it looks like this: fAutosaveEveryXMins=5.0000

6. Save the .ini file and go play some Skyrim.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Avoid the first Companions quest where you travel to a cave to kill some animals. This cave will crash you. It will not reset anything we have done but it seems like it is impossible to do. Also, try to avoid ALT TAB'ing in busy areas as that may cause a crash.

Have fun guys. If this doesn't work for you let me know and I will see what I can do.
