Wanted mod: Stats

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 1:39 pm

Hi

I would like to know if it's possible to make the stats like in previous TES games, with strength, agility, speed, intelligence, etc. Instead of Magicka, health and Stamina??

I liked the old system much more, it gave characters more "personnality" (well not really but you know what I mean...)

Doesn't hurt to ask. There's some really talented modders out there.
I like the idea. :goodjob:

Please. Please if it is possible. give us back the Stats. The watered down version we have is just plain blech. The Stats are:

STR (Strength): bonus to damage and carrying weight.
INT (Intelligence): Affects Max Magicka pool and some saves.
WIL (Will Power): Affects Magicka regen and spell cost as well as resistances and Stamina.
AGI (Agility): Affects bonus to hit and many Thief based skills.
END (Endurance): Affects Max HP and Stamina/ Stamina consumption, as well as heavy armor.
PER (Personality): Affects Haggling and Speech checks (also illusion spells).
SPD (Speed): Affects Movement speed and some other skills.
LUC (Luck): Affects many aspects, has always been a bit ambiguous in TES.

Whoever does this will get all my internets.

I'm going to have to say no. You can't alter something so intrinsic to how the game functions. If you were to mod attributes back in, you'd need a way to procedurally calculate attributes for everything else in the game, be it vanilla, DLC, or modded in.

Recalculating attributes is not really the issue. The issue comes from them being hardcoded into the game, as I understand it. There are many mods which serve to recalculate attributes you already have.
