The European and American coverage is different. In the American version it simply states that you have 30 days from the date of purchase to register your game to be covered under the 90 day warranty. I know Europe or at least Germany has different consumer protection laws. I'm sure France is the same as well. Here in America though we don't have those which is why registration is so important.
Ha ok, that's very interesting indeed !!!! hmmm, the shipping adress is in Glasgow, Scotland , so this might apply to all EU players.
I'll try to do my best to translate it to english, maybe some folks in the UK can confirm this ?
Shipping address is:
ZeniMax Europe Ltd.
Skypark - 9th Floor
8 Elliot Place
Glasgow, G3 8EP
United Kingdom
translation:
so I skip the part you already explained, (went they state they warranty the software of any flaw/defect for the first 90 days after purchase and all...)
After that, the french manual reads:
In the event the game is faulty/defectuous within this 90 days period, you need 1st to return the game where you bought it with a receipt. If
for any reason that is not possible, please return back the software to Zenimax bla bla bla at the given address, with whatever original packaging you (may) still have, a receipt, the place where you bought the game bla bla bla.
Then it skips to the part I explained before stating they would ship you back free of charge a new game (I supose, since it's not clearly stated).
Then the text goes legal saying they would only apply the warranty if the software is indeed faulty bla bla bla bla, if you want more info, inquire towards a consumer association or a lawyer
LOL
this is straight out from the french game manual, vague but accurate translation, can some folks in EU confirm this in plain clear englsih ???
good day
edit: if you guys live in Glasgow you could actually walk in their office lol !!!! I won't encourage that yooooo
