Uhm - I thought I'd explained this in three separate threads now. That's just tonight.
So, fourth time's the charm:
Censorship really isn't my bag. I don't work for Bethesda. It's not my game, not my company. So nothing anyone says about Bethesda is going to hurt
my feelings.
I'm actually
trying to help foster some more efficient communication between the members of this sub-forum. I don't see as how you can expect to effectively do that if there's dozens of threads all talking about the same thing. Frankly, I think I'd find it a bit of a slap to the face is someone made a thread about something I was already talking about and tried to over-ride our existing discussion.
Currently, there are active threads discussing everything from articles about your issues, responses to previous Bethesda comments, threads asking for more direct communication from Bethesda, and even some more generalized negative feedback discussing frustration with these issues overall. So... how is that censorship exactly?
Now, I'm going to bed. You guys can feel free to PM myself or any other moderator about any questions or concerns you have with how this forum is run - we never mind answering questions (though let's be honest - questions that aren't full of expletives and insults get a more detailed response, so do keep that in mind.)
All I'm trying to do is hold this Issues forum to the same standards we do the rest of this sub-forum. Which includes not only all of the Issues sub-forums for every other Bethesda-produced game, but the Skyrim 360 and PC Issues sub-forums as well. As far as I'm concerned, all problems are equally valid, and I don't expect anyone to be happy about taking part in an Issues discussion in the first place. But I do expect everyone to be equally capable of following our Forum Rules (which you will find pinned in every sub-forum on this site, and which does have a rule about making threads discussing moderator action on the open forum.)
tl;dr - venting is fine. I think a cursory look at this sub-forum will find many avenues for that venting. As well as other more focused discussions. We don't expect members to comb through every page on this site to make sure they're not duping someone else's topic. We simply ask for understanding when we close and redirect to an existing, active thread that's already discussing the same topic.
