So I noticed in Shadowmarks some places are protected by the thieves guild. Does this actually do anything? Or is it just background lore that doesn't really make a difference. Id propose that taking items from these houses actually had atleast some consequence however i dont really have very many ideas. I also don't know if you would be able to flag items as "protected" or not, but if you could, id propose if you are a member of the thieves guild, they would take back all the items you stole when you talked to a fence and not fence any items until you payed them for the trouble. If you are not a member, possibly breaking into houses owned by players and stealing 'valuables'. however people collect things, and you cant steal items from them without a way to return them. So to get your items back : a courier delivers a note with a meeting place. You go there, pay them for the trouble + extra depending on either how much they took from you or maybe how many times you've offended them, and they leave your stuff in a hallowed log which is filled upon payment?
Id like to see some consequence for stealing from a protected place. however what does the thieves guild steal? everything in your "safe box"? Ive never made a mod and dont know if this is possible, but would like something to happen when when the CK comes out.
Hopefully this is fleshed out enough for anyone willing
