4 more days to return your game

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 1:16 pm

Just a friendly reminder, if you're not completely satisfied with Skyrim, you still have the opportunity to return your copy to your retailer. Today is the 7th, and the warranty expires in 4 more days on the 11th, so now's the time!

GAME uk wouldn't take back the collectors edition because it had been opened. They were going to offer an incredible £22 to trade it in though. £22!

You might be able to sell the 200 page book and Alduin Dragon on ebay, not sure however, as to how much it would go for.

I kinda want the book as a collector.

I'm trying my best but where I bought it, it is very difficult to return open games. Also if your interested you should watch this interview. He talks about stuff that never made it into Skyrim's final build. http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2011/07/aj-interviews-skyrim/

GAME UK will take it back, you just can't take no for an answer from them. In legal terms they don't have a leg to stand on - the game is broken and therefore "not fit for purpose" (Statutory Right > Sales of Goods Act 1979 > Section 13 > Subsection 1 (Goods must be described accurately) and Section 14 > Subsection 2 and 3 (the game itself is broken therefore not fit for purpose and not of satisfactory quality).

They tried not to accept a return with me but after phoning their customer service in the shop quoting the sales of goods act and that I have no problem with taking them to county court to sue for damages they changed their tune and I received a full refund.

In general, open items can never be returned. :deal: Only non-opened items can be returned, which would be pointless. You can probably trade it in though...for 1/10 of the value.

Show them this forum and IGN articles, then take it to a higher level.

Honest question - what is the basis of the 30 days you're referring to? I assumed the return period depended on the retailer, and I thought Bethesda's warranty was 90 days provided you registered within 30.
