I'm looking for a tall tripod that will fit a Canon ELPH 300 HS, which has a 1/4" thread, or an adapter for a 1/4" thread that will fit onto a tall tripod.

Right now, I have the Joby GorillaPod, which is great, but only about 6-7" tall. I'm hoping for something maybe about 2 feet tall.

I'd search eBay for a vintage tripod, they're often affordable and well built. I have a German built one with telescoping legs that I've had for years.

Don't get a Velbon, they wobble like anything. I quite like my Manfrotto, but it's big and heavy so it's not really suitable if you want to lug it about. Well, and extending to around 7' is a bit more than you're after anyway!

It's for work and it would sit in the video room, so lugging it around isn't an issue....but the room is only 7' x 7' x 7', sooo that wouldn't fit haha.
