1000 years before Morrowind? chimer replace dunmer?

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 3:46 am

The dunmer were a fairly new race if im correct in my knowledge of lore. they had just appeared on the map after the war with the dwemer. Before that they were the light skinned chimer who looked like almalexia or the left side of vivic. this also means that morrowind will be called resdayn. what other things will be changed?

The Dunmer were Dunmer at this point. This game takes place in the Second Era, while the Chimer became Dunmer during the First Era.

The game takes place about 1000 years before Skyrim; not 1000 years before Morrowind ;)

Hah, you only thought that Beth would show us more dwemer! :P

Tbh, I'm glad they don't. They'd make them direct imports of LOTR dwarves >_>

I don't remember if this was unofficial fanon or canon but there was a group of Chimer that diverged from the original Chimer prior to Azuras curse and lived on an island between Tamriel and Akavir and were found by Reman and his forces when he attempted to invade Akavir.

As for the Dunmer? As people have said they will have been Dunmer for awhile by this point.

As for Timeframes? It has been 200 years since Oblivion at the time of Skyrim. All the other games in the main series occurred within the 40-50 or so years prior to Oblivion. TESO is set about 800 years before Morrowind or Oblivion and 1000 years prior to Skyrim. The time frame is about 2E 560 or so I believe. Something like that.

207 years. (3e427 - 4e201)

p.s. 1000 years before Morrowind would have been the last year of the Akaviri Potentate (2e324)

omg i love the lore of this game so so much. and i commend each of you for your knowledge of the lore. so it seams the dwemer are lost forever with no hope of glimpsing them except for the occasional ghost who only tells you to get some pyroil oil for your unenchanted epic blade? thats cool i guess. but the chimer! they wouldve been so cool to see other than that insane half-god.

and the province will be called morrowind huh and not resdayn?

and what about the tribes of morrowind? will they be more in number or the same four from TES3.

(to me its alll about morrowind, im still playing it despite the new releases. thats why im so interested in whats goind on in morrowind at this point.
