You probably already know, but I'm kind of an anti physical media guy. I was really hoping the next gen consoles were going to be disc-less. But anyway I'm a fan of Vudu and Amazon and using a streaming box because I buy movies and my entire collection is stored away at Amazon and Vudu and all I need is a small box (it's like 6" x 6") to watch any movie I want in HD. Is it blu ray quality? No. Can I tell the difference? (I have a blu ray player), no I cannot.
Anyway I was wondering, if you do use Vudu do you rent movies in HD or HDX (HDX is supposedly more HD than HD...lol something about 24 fps and such, closer to blu ray quality than regular HD streams).
Is HDX worth it? I saw for many purchases the HD and HDX option are the exact same price (for example Watchmen was $19.99 in HD and 19.99 in HDX). I haven't bought or rented in HDX yet because I have a 250gb monthly bandwidth cap and don't want to hit it if I watch a lot of content.
If you buy HDX do you have the option to watch it in HD or no? Like I'd probably watch a movie in HDX the first time but use HD for any other time to save bandwidth if they let you do that.
Thanks.
