By pressing R or scrolling I can go to third person and play or "display mode" when I can move but I can't turn. For some reason I can't press R to go into third person or, more importantly, vice versa. In the middle of playing I zoom out into third person and continue to zoom out. I figured out in the menues I can't scroll down or up, depending on what my touchpad feels like doing. This does not happen outside of gameplay, but I generally end the game and load a previous save in order for the controls to "be fixed"

Is there a solution? Is this an uncommon bug that has a patch? It can be incredibly frustrating.

EDIT- Also, I tried changing the controls. unfortunately this is a mouse function so it can't be dropped off onto an unused key. I can only change it to left click or right click. (How)Can I disable it entirely?

I was posting a similar qn yesterday and found a solution for how to stop the display mode I guess you call it in 3rd person zooming right out with the scroll wheel. Its an old mod that just locks the scroll wheel untl you press a hot key combination and offers better sensitivity for it aswell

Its called http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11620 and only issue is BOSS doesnt know it, but its pretty old so could be that. Also have a look at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Ini_Settings#Remap_Mouse_Buttons if its a different problem
