Hi my idea of scenario for rage 2 permits to explain every thing in rage 1 in an interresting way, i'd like to make it known, ( if you dont want to read every thing just read the begining and the end):




We see the film of the blow up of 2027.

Few days after the blow up

Slowly a gradient from black shows us an huge space ship,(a little like ISS but 10 times bigger)
One understand on the display that it s not totally build and which is on earth orbit.
We see the earth behind the ship, it's in big part covered by cloud of dust , cloud which was made by aphophis craching.
(on the downer right on the screen is displayed the date ( 2027, few days after the blow up, "mission to mars")
(one should understand that this international space ship has the goal to go on mars, but because of apophis blow up, the
mission will never end up)

In the space ship, 2 females, and 5 male are here weightless, the view is from the first person view of one of the 5 male.

the screen display the view of the earth in full screen without seeing the space ship, but the one we embody go back and we understand that we were looking
through a window, he looks to the left ans to the right inside the space ship slowly, so we see all other astronauts all together silently.
you feel a disturbing atmosphere, a decisive and serious moment.

one of the astronauts is cutting a straw, one of them which is used to feed astronauters.
He cuts it into five equals part slowly and every one look at him, every part of the splited straw are equals but not one which is longer.
So he puts all the straws in his hand, and they begin to draw the short straw.

The first two take their straw, their are short, its our time to take the straw, everything happen slowly
every one is looking at us, keep their breath , we slowly pull it we still not knowing if it's longer than other...
Pulling more... and we can see it's longer! A faint sound of wonder and effroie is heard from the team.

The one having not still take its straw and not being the one who hold straws in his hand has an annoyed look and suppressed anger
, he turns his head and puts her head in her hands, and made a little sign "no" with his head( to be understood as it is not true!)

every one check our hand but not the one who is anger, this one go away, not willing to see the rest of the events, so angry.

Others follow, the set of the astronauts follow the two female and us who heads for the earth come back space ship, where there is space for only 3 people.

"farewell" send us one of them checking strongly our hand, kissing us, and putting his arm around us, he goes back a little, look us in the eyes and say us
with a smile of serene complicity: "good luck".

He continues talking and say to us:
"theoretically, if the way we have compute is right you should land few kilometer close to Moska in Russia, in a desert area, of course no one will be here
to look for you, because the is no more radio connection with the earth, I let you a map of the area, talk also this lucky, ( a small amulet) there we are,
the dropping will take place in " he take a look at his watch, and continue speaking " 19 minutes", the one we embodies, put again his arm around his friend
and turn the head, then looking the two females which are going in the small come back ship through a kind of window (exactly like in the ISS when one have
to come back on earth).
The heroes we embody also follow the two girls in the small space ship, and so a gradient to the black appears, there is no more view during few seconds.

The view appear again but this time when the on we embodies is already seated with the two female,( the come back space ship is like any actual come back
ship, spherical, except that there is a big window from where we can see the earth)


From this time we can move the head with mouse.

The door which link the come back ship from the mission to mars ship is already closed.

The females take a checked list (a small notepad), they say, one after one, each points which have to be done.

When one of them tell us that we should call the earth base by radio, she look at us and with an air
little dazed and sad, looks down and then resumes the checklist.

it end ups and so the space ship is dropped, with a little gas jet.

which would be great, is that all the view, from now to the landing is in continue.
There is still the cloud of dust around the earth.

The two female of the staff talk during the descent, they say that they hesitate for choosing when to open the parachute, knowing that the cloud of dust may tear
up the parachute.


During the crossing of the cloud, the staff ends up to activate the parachutes, and indeed one of them have a hole and tears up, the ship entered a spin.
Every one scream, the hit of the ground is very violent, it success to distort the ship, so a female die crushed, the other one has is leg broken, and us
are hurt to the leg but its not broken.

We removed our seat belt and Natalia seat belt (the one who is still alive).

We help the girl come out of the ship, after, we put her on a rock, we talk, we say that Alice is dead , that we must find help for both of us.

A storm of dust begin and we have to go

From this time we take the control of the heroes, and we can move, we limp and if we take a stick we less limp.

From this time we have to search health care for the girl.

We can see some trees lying down on the ground, which are like that because of the blow up of apophis.

More and more the storm of dust become important, and we lost ourself.

[not writen scenario, He may be helped, etc.. he may find a brace]

At our come back, we find the female, in the same position but died, all his blood is on the ground, and some wolfs lick the blood, we make them leak.

We also find a suit case, which have been hidden by Alice under the seat in the ship.

[what all explain RAGE 1 is that this suitcase contains ovule which could be used to create humans if they are put in a special incubator...
if you want to know more about this ovules, why they are here etc... ask me ! ]

I wasn't quite sure where this was going, and then the last lines actually drew some interest. So Alice is the one that died and she has the briefcase with the plans for human production? But no one sees these plans?

Yes!I will explain here a part of the end of my story:

the ovules are in the briefcase because of a professor has begun a project, the project to populate mars, but as the project didn't end up, and as the project was already tryed on the earth with special incubator, the goal of the hero will be to populate again the earth with ovules which were for mars, The hero will have to find the incubators on earth and load them.

nice idea?no?

It s why there is other people on earth in 2100 than the hero.

I have also explaination for why authority does exist in 2100.

What did you come up with for the Authority? It is cedertainly an intersting idea, id Software may have left the past a little hazy so that people could come up with their own interpretations. I haven't read the comics so I don't know if there is actually an explanation for it all, but it is interesting to see what people come up with.

Sounds like you should keep going with this. Write as fan fiction since the company will most likely not consider any thing fans come up with. But the world is so large that volumes of parallel stories can exist beyond the core story.

from now the goal will be to find that code on earth....

We find the code and start the video:

"Hi, If you have opened this suitcase,
(a charismatic voice that gives the feeling that the voice gives us a mission, but it still looks a little dangerous madman)7
It means that you have go the activation password of this video of this suitcase, by professor N1, the professor N1, it's me
(we see his face talking to us), it also means that you succeed to go to Mars,
all along the story, men fought (wee see war videos on the screen)
The bad side of human kind has frequently make people suffers (we see a nuclear blow up)
moreover, lot of disasters has showed us that the human kind is weak (we see a video of a earth quake)
, it s why one of your team mate : Natalia, has the charge to carry and hide this suit case up to Mars,
it'was me which created the project to create a big center ( A big building) with incubator, because moving one thousands
people from the earth to Mars during two years cost very expansive, incubator will permit use to make our civilization born somewhere
else in the space."(we see professor N1 smiling)

"If you have received the activation password, it means that the goal of all my life has been a success
(the professor on the video has laughter both reserved,pretentious and very nervous)

it means that the Mars's seeding mission is nearly ended up,
It means that we succed to put incubator on Mars, and soon, the childcare center and educational robotics center.

(we see again the face of professor N1 in the video with a smile of hope)
You have to save the earth, you have to seed the incubators on Mars with the humans impregnated ovules which are in this suitcase."


Those 1040 impregnated ovules will give after born to one thousand child, which will be educated by robots
( here we see synthesis video which show what would should be the center on Mars)
up to the age of eighteen.

After that, those ones will have the duty to live on Mars, build Mars, and reproduce on Mars.
(the video come back on the smile of the professor), the step you must follows to seed the incubator are explained interactively below"

The hero we embody sends the suitcase on the ground, say "no more useful", but he thinks a little, and wonder why Natalia have kept these suitcase,
she should have a good reason. So after few seconds he decide to bring it with him.


[Now he need to find again professor N1 or information about him]

[we can also imagine that Natalia doesn't know what there is in the suitcase, but simply that someone told her that she should always keep it with her]

[Time after time this man may discover people , but mainly dead people because of the apophis blow up]


The hero will find step after step that the project to create again a human species on Mars failed because of some reasons:
_first: A big Part of the research money has been used to prevent collision with apophis and to create the room seen in RAGE 1.
_second: there was a huge scandal in-house, on the fact that it is an aerial race we try to implant, and another problem that was unknown
to the population: in fact the fact that we have already conducted the experiment to reproduce the race on Earth, with incubators, and in a big
underground center.
and at the end all the twelves year old children of the experiment were killed experience (when we learn that, we see a video of a gassing
room where twelve year old die.) This murderer has been done in order to prevent people knowing that we have made children growth and be educated
by robots.

[from this time the hero will have to find the center on the earth, hoping that this center and those incubator are still working, and to seed the
incubators]

We also know 2 things: the former ,the center with the incubator is hidden underground so we hope it's not destroyed, the latter, that it frequently create
malformations.





[I also explain a part of what will happen next: The hero will succeed to seed the incubator but will die, so we will embody a guy which has grown in this center 18 years latter....
In this center there will be 18 years old people which believe that the robots that educate them are like a god, and other which doesn't believe in that.

some people will arrive to escape from the center, and other will stay and follow the order of the robots.... as the robots were program to control the people on the mars, and as the mission finally happened on the earth, the robots will try to control people on the earth... it will become the authority]

The big thing to note is that the Authority aren't actually robots, they are still people in highly protective armour. Sot heys till have a will of their own, they still are human, they just look robotic from the outside.

Otherwise the story is quite interesting. If you could mod like a champion, it would be cool to see your story playable. But it sounds like a lot of work

I also imagined something simple which can explain why there is human in authority:

The humans in the center who have been educated by robots during 18 years, so a part of them believe this robots are there gods, so they will help the robots control the human kind...

It begins to be complicated?
