Bought the game yesterday (cheap as it was) and hoped to have a fun little game to play today when the weather was gonna be ASS. But the problem is that it is so POOR in performance that I just want to rip all the ID's workers in pieces.

Tested various drivers that I got out via Google but it does not make things better. Used a "startup thing" that launch option to try and make it better, found a thread about the various config files, one might add that gave me better FPS and you did not have all dewt where black weird, but the textures were still wacky. Looks like it does not load properly.

I know I do not have the best computer but .. Come again? This is insane how bad this all is!

I even installed the 12.1 driver (i think, at least i found it on these forums) and nothing got better. The only time it did get better was when i activated CROSSFIRE. Now tell me, this game was suposed to NOT have crossfire? When i have it on, the textures look ok (even tough they load everytime i watch some new spot (it does not stay like that either)) and i have 30 fps. Everything set to low in video options and i've tried the "safe mode".

What am i doing wrong? Is it cause it's an ATI Card? Or is the game just plain BAD when it comes to the technical?

Hm, first of all you should remove any custom configs (like rageConfig.cfg, steam launch options) and do the following:

• Make this folder: C:\Users\ _USERNAME_ \AppData\Local\id Software\Rage (might be a hidden folder by default)
  
• Make sure to have latest graphics driver (12.4): http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista32.aspx
  
• Considering your hardware I'd recommend you use the following in-game settings:

• Texture Cache: Small
  
• Detail Texture: Disabled
  
• VSync: Off
  
• Anti-aliasing: Off
