Ranking System?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 4:23 am

I dont really know guys but i wonder if there will be a ranking system, each faction has kind of a leader like player and others would have ranks like Jarl or something like that

I dont know if this might happen but if so what would be your opinion?

:D

It would be nice to have a robust set of guild controls and such titles. Unfortunately, the only MMO I've ever seen with such political systems among towns was Star Wars Galaxies, and we may not even get player housing.

A variety of ranks for each guild and your faction would be great. Progress marked by % of quest completed, and end-game it's monsters defeated...even scoring bigger points for bigger bosses. You might be lowly ranked in the House Redoran Guild because you haven't completed the last two quests. Lets say your focus on the Fighters Guild is a lot stronger, so you may be fairly high up the board. But the faction rank is all determined by PvP ranking kills...netting more points for killing higher ranked members of other factions.

Hopefully they implement RR's like they did in DAoC.

Does make you wonder though how will they go about crowning a player Emperor when your faction captures the Imperial city. Will it be based on contribution, how much damage/healing or activity. Maybe it will be a ranking system. If it is hopefully it can be balanced and fair, in past games I've seen use ranking systems it usually favored the hardcoe and those who could play the most. Now as raider I have no issue with those getting rewarded based on time and effort put in but for a PvP ranking system it simply can't be that whoever is on the most gets it. Who knows at this point, i certainly don't envy those in charge of creating such a system.

Whichever system they choose, who ever plays the most will likely win anyway...practice makes perfect
