Brink 2 Ideas

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:54 am

I love Brink, and would love a sequel, I thought I should list all the things I'd like in Brink 2.

1. Better engine, something like ID tech 5/6, DX11?
2. More support for the PC version of the game, Mod tools, more graphics options, better graphics
3. More customization for weapons, characters maybe weapon camos?
4. Improved weapons, instead of having loads of weapons have something like 10-30 really good balanced weapons
5. bigger maps or more variety of maps for example couple small maps, couple medium sized maps and some large maps.
6. more maps.
7. Get rid of the crappy campaign and put more focus onto multiplayer.
8. More support for the game

Those are things I'd like in Brink 2 that's if Splash damage thinks of making a Brink 2, if you got your own ideas I'd love to hear them.

I agree with you all the way, I'll add more DLC's and better multiplayer options, that kind of stuff. There's more stuff but I don't know how to explain it... lol

Those points are nothing new... a sequel is always supposed to be "bigger better and more bad ass"

4. I don't agree here. The weapons have fine balance and there are less then 30 in the game? A lot of players have there own favorite gun that not many others use.
5+6. are the same in my eyes. With more maps you get more variation. The gameplay of Brink is just not suited for maps of every size.
7. The campaign is nothing more then MP maps including bots with some cinematics between them. Whats wrong with that? It's not like they would have spent more time on the MP anyway.
8. You can say that they need to support the game more and I agree in a way. But if there aren't enough people buying and playing the game you have to let it go at some time. It's quite expensive to keep teams working on a game that is already released.
