Ew, I don't see the textures of banana and Ice cream mixing pleasently.

I know. I don't know how they do it. It's one of the reasons that I like it.

I don't like most "premium" ice cream brands (like Ben and Jerry's). Too damn sickeningly rich (can't stand Coldstone for the same reason). I don't like overly complicated flavors either. I like the simple, inexpensive stuff that's been sold in supermarkets or drug stores for years (Thrifty, Humboldt Creamery, Crystal). Favorites are Rocky Road, Strawberry and Maple Walnut.

Just reminded me about http://bluebell.com/the_little_creamery/Press_Releases/press_rocky_mountain_road_all.html... Sort of wish Blue Bell didn't rotate flavors

I thought this was going to be about the gang/drug war that happened here back in the 80/90's, kinda disappointed.

But hey it's about ice-cream and I love ice cream :D
Mint chocolate chip, toffee and fudge, and vanilla (with a flake) are my favourites.

I don't eat ice cream much, but hazelnut, pistachio, and coconut with red chilli are my favourites. All hand made by me, of course, using the awesome dry ice technique.

I had bacon & egg ice cream at Heston Blumenthal's restaurant a few years ago and, as strange as it sounds, it was absolutely delicious.

@ Papafern

Would I be correct in assuming you speak of Glasgow? I remember hearing of the "Ice cream wars" but don't know much about it. Were they dealing drugs from ice cream vans?

Yeah it happened here in Glasgow, yeah bunch of drug dealers and gangsters went around selling drug out of ice cream vans. When I was younger I thought it was actually over ice-cream
If I'm right only one guy was evr convicted of the goings-on and killings, though he wasn't actually involved in much (if any) of it. He used to stay down the road from me at my old place, had a cracking house, I remember going in once because I was friends with his daughter, some really nice cars as well.

Seems 6 were convicted when I do some more reading, but the guy I mentioned (along with another) were heavily punished for the crimes but later turned out the police and witness had lied under oath...Quite interesting reading about the underworld around here..

Chocolate mixed with chocolate and chocolate and some additional chocolaté.

Cookies and cream and cookie dough are both good too.
