- Being able to do [censored] all at a lower level
- Being able to do everything at a low level
- Looking ridiculous at a high level.
- Having to walk everywhere. There should be cheap and affordable fast travel for everyone. Furthermore Standard mounts (horses, guar) should be easy to attain. (conjuration would be cool too, daedra mounts anyone?)
- Having a restrictive class system. This is Tes anyway- there should be a "you are what you play" mentality to it- like single player (arguably pre skyrim) tes games or runescape. I wouldn't mind being a tanky mage who uses area affect destruction spells on himself. Or a floating master of javalins. Enough of this silly "tank, dps, support" thing that is so predictable and repetitive.
- Having a restrictive race system. Tes doesn't realy have any real reason on why i can't be an orc mage. And it's a dumb decision to do faction races in this game. A nord can't fight for daggerfall, but he can waltz around daggerfall Just fine and go to all the altmer cities without being attacked so long as he doesn't meet anyone in cyrodil?
- Having a Restrictive "profession" set. It's Unrealistic but more importantly it's Terrible when you are playing without friends. Iv been playing LOTRO recently and much of my rage goes into how i can make leather armour but i can't make leather. This is Tes- you are what you play. I don't want to have to ask a guy to change my skill set so that i can cut down a tree.
- Obscure Stats. I want to know what everything does.
- Combat that involves mashing hotkeys.
- an "epic" main quest. It detracts from the rest of the quests whilst other quests detract from it.
- Bad tutorials.
- Stupid looking armour. I am a bit of a svcker for functional looking armour/clothing that i could imagine myself wearing. TesO doesn't have this.
- Artifacts that everyone has. Can i just point out how cool it would be if you were the only person in the entire game to Hold Mehrunes Razor? (Dropping the weapon on death and having it disappear if held too long) How dissatisfying is it when you've finaly got the mace of molag bal and preparing for it's first dungeon use you find that every other person has your unique artifact?
- Butchery of lore/story . Although i don't think i would be as bothered if The main Tes games don't Canonize anything from tesO .
- Microtransactions are great! Apparently, for every hundred or so Tight asses like me there is one guy that goes absolutely ballistic and buys EVERYTHING. Plus there are occasional buyers too. But anyway they keep the cost of the game down (or set it to free) But anyway there are a few key points i would like to make on what is good and what is bad to be sold.
- A purchasable golden saint summon with the same stats as a dremora summon is fine. An option to tweak the appearance of the player's summons is also fine.
- A purchasable golden Saint summon which is superior to any free alternative (less magicka and skill requirement- still more powerfull than the equivelant) is Not ok.
- Dye/rare dye for clothes is fine.
- The paid option to cover your armour in decorational feathers is fine
- the paid option to cover your armour in stat boosting feathers is less fine.
- a rare all-white horse that is paid for is ok. It would also be good to gain that horse by free means. But it would be bad if that paid horse is different from other horses (with speed and strengh or even the ability to fly)
Microtransaction items need to be ballanced. Team fortress for instance allows for the player to buy items that they can get anyway from gameplay. All the items are balanced or Close too it, or purely cosmetic. Dota 2 allows for Cosmetic items. League of legends however asks the player to buy Characters and perks which provide bonuses (which is unfair) Some Nexon game i played had all the best weapons as paid for items.
