hi guys after the good-ish ending of the ME trilogy (which can be forgiven since they made me cry when I was praying with thane's son because you know what happened...etc and many other moments that truly made me FEEL which is rare in a game)

I was thinking... bioware is 10000% gonna make ME4 ... but since Shepard's story is over ... what do you think they have in mind??

will it be a sequel !! where we meet all the ME universe characters (maybe even Shepard) as we forge our own path through the galaxy ORRRRRRRRRR will it be a prequel where events we only read about happen ???

also do you think they will make the game more sand box RPG action (like skyrim)

OR will they stick to the ME old faithful and just make a new hero??

anyway I can't wait to hear your views on this

They already said Mass Effect would be a trilogy. If there was a new one it wouldn't be Mass Effect 4, it would be a spinoff or something.

There won't be an ME4.

As crap as the endings are to ME3 the writing across the series was still in general of a high standard. It was largely focused and interesting with characters that could get a good emotional reaction. Making an openworld for the sake of an open world. no. There's enough of that as it is, may as well just make it an mmo and have done with it. All it would end up is grinding and more grinding for 200 hours.

I'd be cautiously interested in a prequel that goes into Shepards origins. Couldn't care less for Mass Effect without Shepard though. Bioware have proven that they are capable of making an origins based title.

If it were to be set after ME3 though... People are going to fight people eventually. I'd be interested to see a galactic conflict in an already weakened galaxy, starting off from either a reject (with retconned conventional victory) or Destroy basis. None of that Control or Synthesis crap.
