Steam is expected to have a summer sale soon, in which much of their range will be discounted for a week or more, and each day certain titles will be discounted even further. Veterans recommend waiting to see if the games you want get offered in a daily deal (if they do, pick 'em up then), and on the last day buy any that haven't.

Regarding the whole "price matching" discussion from the last thread, I've never seen that happen on video games. I've only ever seen stores do that with things like TVs, computers, computer components, and other expensive items.

IIRC the internet believes the Steam Summer Sale is supposed to start today at some point, people said it's always the last Thursday of June.

That's what I've heard. They always put their new sales up in the middle of the day (apparently 10AM PST, so 1PM EST), so we have about an hour and a half to go.

Might as well wait another hour, because it's going to be really hard getting the page to load.

Probably best to wait a few hours with buying anything too.
