Suggestions for the game

These are just some suggestions I feel would improve the overall experience and feel of the TES:O (more than likely, these would be implemented post release, if at all) to give it more character and set it apart from other MMOs. Personally, I feel that there's too much "stereotypical MMO" features in the game, but that's just me.

The features I had in mind were Player Homes and Community Classes.

To further expand:

Player Houses would give players, well, a house! Their own little space that they can own and decorate as they see fit, this would also include the addition of furniture and special collectibles from certain quests, or even just some random cool junk enemies might drop. There could be a few different ones with different layouts

Community Classes would entail a Buffing Class and Crafting Class. The Buffing Class would do precisely what the name implies, give buffs! It would bring more life into a tavern type play-space (assuming there will be taverns and such) and could let the developers play around with the instruments or even throw a Bard's College themepark into the mix specifically for players of this class.

On to the Crafting Class, this class could create arms and armor as well as furniture for the houses (think a mix of all crafting classes from SWG with the exception of Droid Engineer of course ) although this would require resources and components to be implemented as well, but it wouldn't have to go near as in-depth as Galaxies.

These are just a few things i've thought of, feel free to share your thoughts on potential future features or feel free to explain why you think the game is fine the way it is!

Well to be honest the houeing feature is actually sterotypical MMO so odd you would imply you want to avoid that yet suggest something that fits that category. Not that its a bad Idea I like it and hopefully they add it in time. So far doesn't sound like it will be in at release but I wouldn't be surprised if something along the houseing lines gets added in a future expansion or update like they did in DaoC which was pretty nice.

As for your second one a buffing class ugh they had this in DaoC and as much as I loved it, this to me was one of the ruining factors for the game Buffbots, it started small with only a few people buying an extra account to get that extra advantage of always having there own little personal buffer that put them ahead of everyone, but it started to grow to where people felt in order to be able to compete they had to have the extra account. They did fix it a bit in the classic server, but really I don't want to see a class that pretty much controls all the buffs they need to spread them out evenly between all the groups for the most part.

As for crafting they have implied it will be in the game and many people like to craft, not sure I can picture a class that is just a crafter. Not sure why you wouldn't be able to take just a random fighting class you may like but just choose to craft all the time if that is what you like to do. I like to craft too at times but not sure where your going with this and if would work out, why would it be seperate. Most games go the route of say your a Paladin and you can pick a craft as well(some let you do all crafts some limit you to 1 or 2) So if your that Paladin but you really only want to craft you could still be a blacksmith for instance.

Um... "buffing classes" and housing are pretty standard...

Player housing has been discussed a lot too. Here's a http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1374918-we-need-player-housing/, here is http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1380427-player-housing/, and here is http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1371440-player-housing-ideas/.
