A decision to make

So, I just found out that I failed Physics 11, and I have 2 options: take it again in summer school, or take it next year (I have a spare). What do you guys think?

Take it during the summer, and you will have the summer to study. This leaves you with a spare timeslot you could use to study.

School in the summer? Blows bro...

But it's so you get all of your 'credits' (if thats what your school calls it)

summer school will net you the credit with less effort, less time spent reviewing what you've already heard about

My mom informed me of this stuff when I was near failing Geometry.

I made it though. I hate math.

Summer courses do indeed tend to be easier, as I have been able to pass through courses with straight As that tend to be difficult, even at very high rated universities. I'd bite the bullet and take summer school, as that is what you'll end up doing in college if you don't have a job or an internship (assuming you're still in HS). And it's not like summer courses eat up all that much of your time to begin with, and gives you something to do during the summer, instead of just turning your room into a cave.

If you get full grades for summer classes, do it in the summer. I failed Math 11 during the regular school year way back when and retook it in the summer. It was way easier, and it was actually kind of fun.

I ended up getting 86% in a class that I failed during the regular year.

Edit* I just want to add that I really don't like the length of a High School year. They tended to drag the sections out way longer than was necessary and I almost always ended up losing interest.

Nearly ended up in summer school for both math and geography (had only about 3/5 of each course done in May) but I made it. I have pretty shabby grades though as I had to worry about quantity over quality. I suggest summer school, if it's for one month. If it's for the whole summer then just take it next year.

Lol, I have absolutely zero interest to begin with (possibly excluding literature). Also, your avatar seems familiar but I don't know from where.

Depends if there's anything else you want to take next year instead. If it were me I'd just retake it the next year since I'd be at school anyway, it would be more hassle to get there during the summer.

Summer school man. You will have more time to study, plus you won't have as many distractions.

Math is disgusting. If I weren't so nice I would've killed math a long time ago. :P

I wish I chose summer school for when I failed Alegbra I, I didn't take the final exam seriously even though I had an A in the class cause it was easy so I failed and took it again next year. I have been stuck with honors freshman ever sense... and it svcks.

Alright. Well, considering that I'll have a heavy courseload next year (Psych 12, Networking 12, Physics 12, Math Foundations 12, Law 12, ICT 12, English 12) looks like I'll be taking summer school.

@freedomfighter

I don't do the regular high school kid stuff (I've been a loner most of my life, I prefer it :loner: )

EDIT: It's not like I have anything else to do right? :whistling:

Summer school, otherwise you risk falling in to the "been going to college for a long time now, even though my degree is 4 years" category. Better to just get in the habit getting stuff done on time, and if not, make it up in the summer.

This is a no brainer....Summer School.
It means you don't need to spend a year redoing the course and can get it over with during the holidays

Yeah definitely go for summer school. You'll need your time next year for your other courses.

yeah, this. at first i was going to say take in later. but this is a good point. you already took it, so you know what will be in the class. summer is just accelerated version of it, right? so just review, review, review and you'll be fine.
