Currently not taking new sheets, if you are interested though, feel free to PM me.

Prologue:-

Journal Article taken from Legion Captain Xerca's official account of the Riften Crisis.

"Skyrim is a land of honour, where brothers will settle differences together in traditions made a thousand years ago. It's people are proud of this and, as is shown by the civil war will defend it, even if it means killing their neighbors or their own children. I sadly do not know the word to describe this connection, this bond amongst Nords. However, the Nords have their own word for it, Nordic Honour, which is very, very different to our own Cyrodiilic brand of the same wine.

However, like all great vineyards, there is that tree that will never bloom, that rose that never flowers. In Cyrodiil it is Bruma, in Skyrim, it's name is Riften.

Riften needs it's own explanation, a city almost built into one of Skyrim's great rivers. The river itself forms a sort of street that bends and flows throughout the city. At first glance you would think this would be a wealthy place, a thriving hold that is surrounded by lush forests and natural ores but you would only be half right.

Riften has a problem between it's classes, in Cyrodiil you have the rich, the working class and then finally, the poor folk. In Riften, you have the extremely wealthy and the extremely poor. The poor are so penniless that they infact live in the sewer system beneath Riften, something which I find utterly disturbing if not fascinating. This diversion in income has led to an infestation of crime and extortion, something which the nobles turn a blind eye to, so long as it keeps their pockets fat and their noses well dusted. I am even of the opinion that the yarl herself is in league with the underworld organisations.

I have decided that Riften poses a threat not to the Empire, but to the honest people that are starving and homeless, forced to sell their Nordic Honour in an attempt to survive. This has gone on long enough and I, Xerca will attempt to uncover the mysteries surrounding this strange town and force change, by the sword, by the dagger or even by fire. Riften will thrive. "

The final room is a secret room, built into the back of the building, this room contains the armory, with equipment to sharpen and modify armour and weapons, this room also shares a secret exit which spills into the river. This is not the only extra exit however as another exit leads through the ratway.

The house is well lit and decorated with enough books to keep everyone occupied.

Current Player Character Sheets:-
My Character Sheet: Out of favour Scholar.
Spoiler

Name: Legion Captain Xerca
Age: 129
Race: Dunmer
Gender: Male
Appearence: With an athletic figure and standing at 6 feet 2 inches, Xerca gives off a fairly dominant air. Xerca has no real scars or tattoos and his hair is long and dark grey in colour. Apart from these features, Xerca doesn't differ from other Dunmer, having the same characteristics of his kin.

Skills: Xerca has always been very good with the bow, his ability to track and trap is also renowned. Due to his time in the legion, he has also picked up a small amount of experience with the spear and longsword although he would prefer to use neither. His armour of choice is light and without helmet. He is often deemed as silver tongued and tactically smart, giving him the edge in the politics expected of his stature.

Weapons: Imperial Steel Longbow with 30 arrows, Imperial Steel Spear and Longsword. However, for his off duty or undercover operations, he fancies a reinforced Wooden hunting bow and a sharp but well worn Iron Longsword.
Armour: Due to his rank of Captain, Xerca is gifted with fine Imperial Armour, heavily reinforced with studded leather, gold trimmings and a gold sash that falls across his chest, the emblem of the Imperial Legion burnt in crimson. Off duty he prefers fur armour, covering himself head to toe in it.
Clothing: Simple cotton clothing. (Undercover Equipment: Fine black/blue clothes)

Background:

Xerca grew up in Skingrad, his father a member of the guard and his mother a part time potion maker. As Xerca began to grow, he became fond of his fathers work, hunting and poaching game for the castle or just to protect the borders of the province.

Eventually, this turned into a hobby, where both father and son would go hunting and the mother would create various potions on what they brought back. It was at this point in his life where Xerca learnt everything he needed to succeed. He learnt how to read a landscape, judge the movement of animals and trap them.

His father however suffered an accident during a drug raid and ended up with a paralysed arm. With that, Xerca's days of hunting with his father were over and it was just never the same.

So as soon as he could, Xerca signed up with the Imperial Legion and requested the role of scout or huntsman. He was granted huntsman and here he found a fond friend in a man named Berlow, an aged nord from Skyrim. Berlow was once a bard but had lost his voice due to smoking and drink and thus found himself in the hands of the Legion.

Together they talked about the power of speech, about languages and song and about the strength of words. Eventually this friendship was broken by Xerca being moved to Scout and from there Skirmisher.

Xerca's ability with the bow and his tactical expertise helped him quickly rise through the ranks of the legion and when he was transfered to Skyrim for the Civil War he was granted the title of Legion Captain.

Undercover Name: Hyaril Valeci
Undercover Age: 109
Undercover Background:

Hyaril was a scholar born in Skingrad but lost favour with the locals after publishing various stories about their private lives.

Having learnt his lesson, Hyaril fled to Skyrim in an attempt to join the Bards College, ultimately this failed and being out of a job and out of money - He found himself in Riften sharing a house with other lost souls.

Ascended Sleeper's Character: Out of work handyman
Spoiler

Name: Urzog Gro-Gat
Age: 20
Race: Orc
Gender: Male

Skills: Urzog grew up in the slums of the Imperial City’s Waterfront district, causing him to adapt to the criminal environment. Being forced to support his family after his father’s death in the war with the Aldmeri Dominion, Urzog quickly learned how to pick pockets and locks, a skill he put to use often, and got punished for often as well. The Orc is also quite skilled in hand to hand fisticuffs, considering that the occasional tavernside brawl was not uncommon. The big Orc was never well at staying hidden, but when he joined the Legion, he developed his skill with Axes and Blades, as well as moving and running in armor of any weight. Surprisingly enough, the Orc is not stupid or foolish- uneducated and arrogant for sure, but he holds a certain amount of intellect and wit like his father.

Equipment: Urzog prefers the freeform movement of light or medium Imperial Armor, though if he is going to be fighting in large scale battle or storming an installation, he will most likely opt for his standard issue Imperial Steel Armor. Out of combat, the Orc used to wear a few sets of common clothes, which he brought with him. In combat, Urzog prefers his Imperial Broadsword or his War-Axe, as well as his Imperial Shield. (Undecover Equipment: Woodcutters Axe and a Steel Dagger.)

Appearance: Standing at a rough 6’5’’, Urzog is your common Orsimer- tall, burly, green skinned, and rippling with muscle. Yellow tusks protrude from his mouth, which is often grinning, and his eyes often look tired and weary.

Background: Urzog Gro-Gat’s Father, Bugak Gro-Gat, was an Imperial War hero in the war with the Aldmeri Dominion, but was eventually slain during the battle of Anvil. Forced to look after his mother, a simple clothing washer at one of the Waterfront’s Boardinghouses, Urzog turned to thievery, learning how to pick pockets and locks, gaining much gold from his burglaries and thefts. Through a painful and dangerous process of trial and error, Urzog discovered who and where to steal from, which fences were good, which were bad, and how to avoid trouble. The Orc learned to stand up for himself, beating many of the competing thieves and unhappy victims to a pulp, as well as being beaten himself by hired thugs and more powerful enemies.

At the age of 19, Urzog left his mother, who due to her son’s thieving exploits, had a nice sum of gold to live off. He joined the Imperial Legion, determined to live up to his father’s name, serve the Empire, and hopefully one day return to the Waterfront with a better life for his mother. Upon seeing reviewing his criminal past, the Legion decided to place him in Riften under the command of
Captain Xerca, a position seen by Urzog to be lowly and unfit.

-------

Undercover Name: Halif Yur-Gat
Undercover Age: 21
Undercover Background:

Halif Yur-Gat has spent the majority of his life working at Solitude Mill, ever since his family abandoned him and left for another life. Working with the wood, he became familiar with the axe and broadsword.

He also lead another life of a local handyman, helping with repairs and such on the local farms when was needed.

Smig's Character: Fledgeling Lord

Spoiler

Name: Falco Viscia
Age: 23
Race: Imperial
Gender: Male
Appearance: 5'9'' feet (1.8m) and slim. He doesn't look very athletic. There's a boyish look to his face. His eyes are blue. His hair is a dark shade of brown, short and combed to the side.

Skills: He wasn't blessed with an athletic build but his discipline allowed him to gather good sword-fighting technique for optimum use of leverage. He's nimble, quick to react and fairly accurate with his strikes. He also has mediocre knowledge of restoration class spells. His greatest asset is his discipline and apparent disregard for his own well being.

Weapons: Usually the standard issue Imperial sword, shield and bow. He feels most comfortable with a longsword, though. (Undercover Equipment: Fine Steel Longsword)
Armour: Standard issue Imperial light armor, preferably.
Clothing: When off-duty, he wears an assorted set of common clothing, always with a white shirt on. (Undercover Equipment: Fine clothes, deliberately made to look rough and well worn as well as a signet ring.)

Background:

Falco is the son of a priest of Arkay, of Cheydinhal. The selfless virtues and respect for all life instilled in him as a child, were quickly shattered by the gradual realization of a world full of hatred and selfishness. He wasn't like his father though, he never sought to lock himself in the safe confines of a chapel and it was in exploring the world that gullible Falco fell victim to some of the worst that the world had to offer. He was unable to find peace between his early teachings and the misguided world outside, which led to a build up of resentment and a constant desire to change the world.

Eventually, it all led him to the city guard. His service was impeccable, until his relentless pursuit of all wrongdoing bothered the wealthy and the powerful. He was but a meaningless fly that was quickly squashed as pressures amounted on the shoulders of his superiors. Dismissed as a nuisance, he was covertly forced into posts designed to keep him out of the way.

Falco's frustration grew but his desire to defy all corruption was kept in check by his belief that disloyalty to the law and his duties would make him no better than the thing he was fighting against. As this conflict endured within him, the northern conflict in Skyrim kept taking many lives from the Legion, which opened him some doors to new opportunities. Offers were made to city guards to join its ranks and Falco decided to take advantage of it. He saw it as an opportunity to fight evil at a larger scale.

Soon after he finished basic training, his history made him a very interesting candidate for a very special assignment...

-------

Undercover Name: Lucius Marillian
Undercover Age: 20

Undercover Bio:

While Lucius was born into a lords family, the hold they owned was slowly being sold off to cover various debts and as such, the family was becoming poorer and poorer.

When Lucius became of age, his father sent him out with his favored bodyguard Rav'irr who had been with the family ever since he was a meer cub.

Lucius however, found himself ill advised and only began to lose more money and friends. Seeing the war in Skyrim as a profitable business, he decided to leave and partake in the smuggling industry, finding Riften as a start through which to build upon.

Trannigan's Character: Streetwise drug dealer.
Spoiler
Name: Ra'Zakhir

Age 19

Gender: Male

Race: Khajiit

Appearence: Normal height for an advlt male Khajiit but a little bit more muscular. His face is trimmed up (for a man that is furry lol) but his hair is grown out long like a mane and is medium brown. The rest of his fur is a reddish orange and spread across his face and neck are black, stripped fur patters like a tiger. The tiger look continues with a white mouth and snout and goes all the way down his abdomen, and a dark pink nose. His back is lightly colored yet thickly spotted which is typical for the subspecies he is. His eyes are a bright yellow.

Skills: His strongest, and most naturally attained skill is Obfuscation. Like most of his kind, Ra'Zakhir is naturally adept at making others think he is nothing more than a clueless sugar-tooth. Behind the clueless faces and poor grammar lies an intelligent being though, which has been further trained by his superiors to use that talent when ever he is on assignments for the Empire that isn't about outright war-fare. He is also naturally skilled at hand to hand fighting, and thanks to training he has learned to be skillful when wielding knives or maces. Lesser trained but decent skills are sneaking and pick-pocketing.

Weapons: A Steel mace and the standard Imperial Bow and usual stock of 20 arrows. (Undercover Equipment: Rusty Iron Dagger, three rusted iron throwing knives.)

Armour:The standard light leather Imperial armor, and he chooses to not wear his helmet, because it presses his ears down against his head and stifles some of his hearing.

Clothing: Brown and Blue middle class clothing.(Undercover Equipment: Street Rags, small measured bag of Moon Sugar and 4 lockpicks.)

Background: Ra'Zakhir grew up in one of the traveling Khajiit camps. Life for the young Khajiit was fairly hard for him and for his family, but he had enough friends growing up thanks to a large group that traveled together. The mistrust from some of the Nords as well as some of the other races hurt Ra'Zakhir at first, but over time he grew to understand it was just a way of life, each of the races seemed to hate each other at least a little bit. For the first few years of his teenage-dom he lived up to his stereotype, stealing minor things from any of the other races when he could get away with it. That changed though when someone that was close to him wisely explained that such talents could be put to a much better use. Instead of causing undeserved sadness or anger to innocent individuals why not use those motives against those who would do others harm? With that mantra in mind he broke away from his family at aged 18 and joined up with Skyrim's branch of the Imperial Soldiers.

-------

Undercover Name: Moon Licker (Nickname) or J'Dato
Undercover Age: 17

Undercover Bio: J'Dato has always been a street rat, born a bastard by two members of different Khajiit trade caravans J'Dato was forced to find a living the only way he knew how.

This led him to find no real skills in education nor combat but excellent skills in lying, manipulation and all other manner of dirty conversation techniques. A minor thief and a decent brawler J'Dato has carved the nickname Moon Licker into his very personality and wears it as a badge of honour, the only name he never gave himself.

Drugged up and poor, he has ended up sleeping on street corners of all parts of Skyrim, going unnoticed, selling sugar to those who can pay or just out right physically beat him. His latest adventure has led him to Riften where he intends to start afresh and maybe join the local drug rings and start making a name for himself.

GorbadPS3's Character: Sworn bodyguard to Smig's Character.
Spoiler

Name: Shavir Qa’Do
Age: 45
Race: Khajiit
Gender: Male
Appearance: Shavir stands precisely six feet tall. He has dark grey fur, with small chaotic patterns of white and black in it. His eyes have the color of the full moon, with a hint of orange. He is almost sickly slim, partly due to his weak bone structure but also because he doesn’t seem to put up weight no matter how much he eats. He has tried, many times, to build a mass of muscle, but without success. There’s reason to believe he suffers from some sort of inheritable, incurable decease.
A few accidents and unlucky encounters have left Shavir with only one ear and many scars, covered by his fur.

Skills: He is quick in light armor but feels uncomfortable in anything heavier than the very lightest of armor. He can use a shield both offensively and defensively. He can use a mace and a blade, but prefers using an axe because of its perfect balance between the two. He can be somewhat quiet and attempts to surprise his opponents, a very common feature amongst Khajiit’s.

Weapons: A basic steel axe, given to him when he joined the legion and an imperial light steel shield. (Undercover Equipment: Fine Steel Axe)
Armor: Simple imperial light armor slightly modified to not look ridiculously big on Shavir. (Undercover Equipment: Set of leather armour.)
Clothing: A grey belted tunic and matching pants. He also has comfortable leather boots, so worn that they can barely be called armor anymore.

Background: Shavir Qa’Do was raised in a small village in Hammerfell. It was located high up in the mountains, on the border to Skyrim, near the city of Elinhir. Like almost everyone else raised in the village, Shavir left the place as soon as he could. It was a depressingly monotone way of living, with goats being the primary source of income, food and clothing.

His travels brought him to Skyrim, where he spent two decades living a simple fisher’s and farmer’s life. It wasn’t until his mid-thirties that Shavir was forced to learn how to fight, due to an increasing number of hostile activities around his simple home. The nearby city of Rorikstead provided an excellent place to put up a business and trade with travelling merchants. Over the years, the small change from goats to fish and potato did, however, bring Shavir to a crossroads in his life. He only needed a little encouragement to join the legion, the attack on his house in the middle of the night to be precise, regular bandits harassing hard working folk.

The decade that followed was intense military training, but with little real action. However, for Shavir this was enough of a change to keep him happy once more. However, once more the boredom began to nag Shavir in the back. The letter summoning him to Riften for undercover missions and a fight for the greater goods, in disguise, sounded very appealing even though he was unsure what he was getting himself into.

-------

Undercover Name: Rav'irr
Undercover Age: 45

Undercover Bio:

Rav'irr was born in Anvil, his parents both servants to the small house Marillian. He was treated well by his masters, given both martial as well as survival training in an attempt to turn him into a cheap bodyguard.

Because of his bond with house Marillian and the kindness they have shown both his family and himself, he is extremely loyal to all members of the house, especially the younger master Lucius Marillian (Smig) who he himself trained in hand to hand combat.

When the young master decided to leave the family estate, Rav'irr was charged with his protection and has not let him down. His feelings on his masters' decision to get into smuggling is not one he takes lightly, but is one he must obey.

Xerca - Agent Hideout/Riften - Off Duty - Day 1

Xerca took his second bite from the chicken, it was stone cold now, having been sat there for the past hour while he spilled over documents and mission statements. He sighed, rubbed his eyes and pulled another candle closer to him. If I'd known I had signed up for this.. he grumbled, pushing the cold meat away to make space for more papers.

After running his finger across several paragraphs he finally picked up his quill and started writing, Murder of Proecius Mieralles, well liked store hand at the fishery. Possible connection to smuggling operation or just a normal murder? Riften guards seem unable and unwilling to help, signs of bribary. One guard did however mention that Proecius did have friends within the Ratway Claws gang but was unwilling to say whom or give me any further information on such gang.

He stopped writing and sat back, the feather of the quill stroking his chin. Further news, I have been informed that my recruits are finally heading down to join me. I'm looking forward to it, these last few weeks stuck in this house have been uncomfortable and highly unnerving. The company will do me good.

I've thought about getting a dog, still unsure on it but I've always wanted one.

I've also decided on how i'm going to approach my operation, there will be two missions. One, the murder - It is obvious this murder is surrounded by the underground gangs and secondly, gain access into the drugs industry. I'm thinking this murder probably has something to do with Proecius seeing something he shouldn't have and therefore murdered. I'll probably do a recon of the fishary tonight, see what the crack is.

He closed the small journal and stood up, taking one of the small candles with him. He walked softly across the carpetted floor towards the lounge and stoked the fire, it was dying but Xerca wanted to capture what remained of it's heat, his thin clothes were unsuited to nordic weather. "I wonder what they'll think of the place." he said to himself as he sat down in a thick armchair and opened a leather bound book. "I hope they like it, would be a shame otherwise."
