I mean come on, when you meet him he is very polite, answers all of your questions, most of his "vampires" are polite to you, one even offers you a drink of brandy, they allow you to buff up before they fight you, we would have been able to side with him (But the devs cut it out for some reason...) okay yeah, he was a little "extreme" but he wanted to return Morrowind to it's former glory. Now compare him to the tribunal, monsters, betrayed there own leader to gain god hood and LIED about it, blaming Dargoth for it, they rule morrowind with a iron fist, forced most dumner to acknowledged them as the true gods, or face death. My opinion is that Dargoth Ur, in the end was WAY morally sound then this so-called "gods", also in the end, he was the only one loyal to Nevar, and tried to avenge him (Note this is very debatable, some say Nevar died in combat with Dargoth, while others say that tribunal murdered him)

I have alot more respect for Ur than I do for Almalexia. He was nothing if not a classy, worthy advisary.

I think the whole thing about offering a drink and having a chat was just old-fashioned aristocratic courtesy, mixed with curiosity. It's like in a samurai film, where two swordsmen have a nice chat before attempting to cut each other into tiny bits. A lot like that, actually.
