Fuel efficient cars around 11-15k?

Post » Sat Jul 07, 2012 4:42 pm

I need to get a new car. I have a budget of around 11-15k us dollars. I recently got a job at Tesla Motors and am making a good hourly wage and I think it's time to treat myself. I want to keep the total at around those numbers however.

I'm not looking for super sixy, just fuel efficient and 4 door.

Tesla huh, don't they make those electric sports cars? Should get one of those! Lolol just joking they're like 100k+

Fuel efficient and 4 door. Does it have to be new? You can probably get a decent used VW Jetta diesel for that much.

Other than that, not sure on names but usually hatchbacks get good mileage. Usually, not always.

Steal a Tesla of course!

Anywho, do you want a hybrid, or full gas? SUV, Hatchback, or Sedan?

Are you looking for new, or "new to you"? There are a lot of economical late model used cars in that price range, but not too many new ones.

About 20K out the door for a reasonably well optioned one (new that is).

Something like a new ford fiesta or vauxhall Astra. Even old ford focuses (around 02-4) are fuel efficient and you can get them for about 1k
